About us
The Youth Justice team provides community-based supervision and a range of case management and support services for young people who are appearing before, or have been sentenced by, the Children's Court, Children's Aboriginal Court and adult criminal courts and who have been placed on youth justice supervised orders.
What you will do
As a Youth Justice Aboriginal Case Manager, you will supervise and provide support to Aboriginal young people and young people subject to Youth Justice Court orders. You will prepare Court and Youth Parole Board reports, develop Client Service Plans and attend court for client matters. You will also provide assessments, develop case plans/reports and advocate for the provision of support services.
You will also help to increase Aboriginal young people's opportunities of enhanced quality of life and community inclusion. This includes adopting a Care Team approach, assessments, implementing and reviewing case plans and goal-setting, monitoring progress, advocacy and referrals. Above all, this role will ensure Aboriginal young people's needs are met in a way that is responsive, relevant and cultural safe.
