About the role
This is an Ongoing fulltime position.
This role supports the Manager Commercial Road Operations by providing advice and direction on the technical and operational management of the Western Roads Upgrade network. The position works closely with internal teams, government agencies, councils and project partners to ensure road operations meet concession, contract and project requirements. It reviews operational processes, coordinates integration of new projects and manages risks to ensure compliance and efficiency. Success in this role helps deliver reliable road services, supports strong partnerships and ensures the organisation meets its contractual obligations and broader transport objectives.
What we’re looking for (Selection Criteria)
You’re someone who:
• Understands the transport network and has practical knowledge of how public transport operations and suppliers deliver services and meet performance requirements.
• Can identify and manage risks across areas such as asset management, environment, OH&S, estimating and public safety, while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
• Can lead asset and project delivery activities, using sound engineering and asset lifecycle knowledge to support decision-making, solve complex problems and ensure assets are integrated effectively into the transport network.
• Builds strong stakeholder relationships and can influence outcomes by gaining buy-in, managing competing needs and working collaboratively to resolve issues.
• Drives improvement and innovation, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, efficiency and outcomes while adapting to changing priorities and supporting a collaborative team environment.
