Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.
Northeast Health Wangaratta is seeking a Workplace Trainer and Careers Advisor to provide essential training, assessment and career support to staff across Northeast Health Wangaratta and other identified regional health services.
The role will design and deliver learning programs from Certificate II through to Diploma level, using accredited courses and training packages to meet the needs of employees. You will plan and deliver engaging group and individual training, facilitate learning in the workplace, and develop and manage assessment activities and processes.
You will also provide participants with advice about career pathways, future training opportunities and potential employment options. A key focus will be supporting staff who have limited computer skills, have not completed secondary school or speak English as a second language.
The successful applicant will have strong training and assessment skills, excellent communication abilities and a commitment to supporting people to develop their skills and progress their careers within the health industry.
Training may be required to be delivered during evenings and weekends.
