About the Role
Workforce Planning is a key function within the People and Culture Department, supporting CFA to plan for future workforce requirements while responding to evolving business needs.
Reporting to the Senior Manager – People Excellence and Innovation, the Workforce Planning Consultant is accountable for developing, implementing and continuously improving CFA's workforce estimates, as well as managing the organisation's overall employee establishment.
A core focus of the role is to ensure workforce data is accurately maintained within the HRIS, enabling a shared and consistent understanding of workforce impacts across the HR and Finance functions, including financial management, reporting and employee relations.
In partnership with the Data Analytics function, the role leads complex strategic workforce reporting and analysis, delivering meaningful and actionable insights to support business decision-making. In addition, the role contributes analytics support across the broader People Excellence & Innovation team, including People Matter Survey insights and the performance and development planning processes.
This is a fixed-term opportunity commencing 1 June through to 21 September 2026.
About you
With experience working in a large, complex organisation you bring expertise in strategic workforce management, HRIS systems and stakeholder partnering to make a real impact. In this role, you'll turn complex data into clear, actionable insights and drive continuous improvement through a collaborative, forward-thinking approach to workforce planning and continuous improvement.
Your effectiveness will be based on your ability to build trust and confidence with internal and external stakeholders who will value your direction and insights.
You will have worked with an HRIS or establishment management system and possess high level Excel skills. Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business Management or a related field will be highly regarded.
