The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Workforce Engagement Officer to provide a critical role at Western Plains Correctional Centre.

Western Plains Correctional Centre is a modern, maximum-security prison focussed on rehabilitation, housing up to 1248 people in custody. Western Plains features multi-purpose infrastructure which is adaptable to the evolving needs of Corrections Victoria and the people in our care. About the Role
The Workforce Engagement Officer is responsible for providing knowledge, innovative thinking, and creative solutions that support Western Plains Correctional Centre's key workforce and prison services function. The position provides expertise relating to identifying workforce capacity and capability with the aim of supporting the prison to meet its objectives now and into the future.
The position will support work that ensures the right employment types are recruited to, that the workforce has the appropriate skills and capabilities necessary for completing the work required and that sufficient onboarding and workforce management processes are in place for the effective and efficient operation of the facility. This will be achieved through collaboration with management, area specialists and operational staff as well as the use of data solutions.
