The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Workforce Development Supervisor to provide a critical role at Corrections Victoria.
About the Role
The Workforce Development Supervisor (WDS) is responsible for three prisons, two within the Loddon Prison Precinct which includes a medium risk facility (Loddon) and a restricted minimum facility (Middleton). The third prison is located at Maldon, a minimum risk women's facility; Tarrengower Prison.
The Workforce Development Supervisor leads and manages a small team responsible for overseeing workforce development by enabling opportunities for staff to participate in appropriate and relevant training and supporting capability development plans. The role will also work closely with all stakeholders to build operational capability.
The position will ensure compliance with the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) standards, oversee the coordination of trainers and assessors, and ensure alignment with the Department of Justice and Regulation Human Resources Learning and Development unit.
This position will require travel across the Region, may require direct prisoner contact and may involve weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provision of the VPS Enterprise Agreement.
