About the Victorian Early Childhood Regulatory Authority (VECRA)
The Victorian Early Childhood Regulatory Authority (VECRA) is the statutory authority responsible for regulating early childhood education and care services in Victoria. VECRA works to ensure the safety, wellbeing and development of children through effective regulation, compliance, quality assessment and continuous improvement across the early childhood sector.
VECRA plays a critical system management role, providing guidance, oversight and assurance to the sector while supporting high-quality early childhood education outcomes for Victorian children and families.
About the Team
The Worker Suitability Team leads the delivery of VECRA's worker suitability regulatory functions, including the identification, assessment and actioning of regulatory responses where individuals pose a risk to children. The team also oversees the integrity of the Early Childhood Workforce Register through compliance and assurance programs and works to build sector awareness and understanding of worker suitability obligations under the National Law and related child safety obligations.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced data and reporting professional to join the Worker Suitability Team as a Worker Register Compliance and Data Analyst.
The Worker Register Compliance and Data Analyst supports the Worker Suitability Team by analysing Early Childhood Workforce Register data and other authorised regulatory information to improve compliance outcomes and inform regulatory priorities.
The role will develop and maintain sophisticated reporting, dashboards and analytical products that provide visibility of provider compliance, emerging risks, workforce trends and the effectiveness of compliance interventions.
Using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI and other authorised datasets, you will identify trends, data quality issues and potential areas of non-compliance, helping to target regulatory resources where they will have the greatest impact.
Experience
This role plays a key part in strengthening VECRA's capability to undertake intelligence-led, risk-based regulation across the early childhood education and care sector. You will use data to identify compliance issues, emerging risks, trends and opportunities for regulatory intervention, supporting evidence-based decision-making and improving the integrity of the Early Childhood Workforce Register.
Working closely with regulatory officers, investigators, compliance teams and business stakeholders, you will develop meaningful reporting and insights that enable proactive regulatory oversight and support the safety and wellbeing of children.
