Are you looking for a hands-on leadership role where you can make a real impact in forest management and emergency response? The Heywood Workcentre Operations Coordinator role offers the opportunity to lead a capable, diverse team delivering important work across Forest and Fire Operations.
In this role, you’ll guide and support staff delivering a wide range of programs—from day-to-day land management through to bushfire response. You’ll play a key part in building team capability, setting clear priorities, and supporting performance and development.
You’ll also take the lead on planning and coordinating workcentre activities, including managing projects, setting priorities, overseeing budgets, and tracking progress across multiple programs.
A critical part of the role is ensuring teams are ready to respond—making sure vehicles, plant and equipment are available and fit for purpose when needed.
Working closely with colleagues across FFMVic, DEECA and partner agencies, you’ll also oversee staff and contractors delivering projects on public land, helping ensure work is delivered safely, effectively, and to a high standard.
