Lead frontline forest and fire operations in Victoria
DEECA is seeking a capable and grounded leader to step into the role of Workcentre Operations Coordinator in Powelltown—supporting essential on‑ground operations that protect and manage Victoria’s forests and public land.
In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee the delivery of forest and fire management programs across the Yarra District, leading operational teams and coordinating staff, resources and assets to achieve safe and effective outcomes. You will also play a critical role in developing and maintaining emergency response capability, ensuring readiness for bushfires and other incidents - making a tangible difference to communities and the environment.
We are seeking an operational leader who thrives in fast-paced, outdoor environments, with experience managing programs such as planned burning, forest or land management. You will bring strong leadership capability, knowledge of emergency management or firefighting systems, excellent communication and organisational skills and a clear commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
