Work Program Lead
- Salary: $138,631 - $185,518 Plus Superannuation)
- Fixed-Term position for 6 months

The Role
As a Work Program Lead, you will provide integrated program support and advice to the Director - Organisational Strategy, Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) to manage and deliver localised workforce transitions and related projects.
Key accountabilities include:
- Provide integrated coordination and systems advice to the Director - Organisational Strategy on general policy frameworks and develop strategies, programs and systems that impact the workforce.
- Initiate, design, and implement systems and frameworks to operationalise and track work program utilising business governance, communications, and stakeholder expertise and knowledge base, including for specialised project and service delivery models.
- Provide authoritative and expert advice on strategic work program planning for the group including workforce transitions and machinery of government changes to ensure the group can deliver its core functions and priority projects in line with government policy and directives.
- Utilise high level of expertise in government operations to research, prepare and deliver comprehensive strategies, reports and business cases, playing a critical coordination in the successful delivery of the group's work program.
- Operate as a trusted adviser to the SEE leadership team, identifying issues and delivering solutions that support group and departmental objectives, and develop and maintain a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.
- Drive excellent stakeholder engagement, building and sustaining trusted relationships with senior and influential partners to drive alignment with the Group's objectives, seeking feedback to support continual improvement.
The Team
The position of Work Program Lead will work within Sport and Recreation Victoria branch, which sits within Sport and Experience Economy group.
Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) is comprised of Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV), Tourism and Events (T&E) and Outdoor Recreation and Combat Sports (ORCS).
SRV aims to create greater sport and active recreation participation opportunities for all Victorians to maximise economic, social and health benefits and enhance Victoria's livability. This is achieved by supporting the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events and the Minister for Community Sport in the management of major sports facilities, administering grant programs that develop community sports infrastructure, strengthening the capacity of sport and recreation organisations, developing more active recreation and other innovative options to increase overall participation rates, reducing barriers to participation for specific population groups, supporting world-class sporting events and Victoria's high performance sport sector, and reinforcing the role that sport and active recreation plays in growing the Victorian economy, supporting jobs and building stronger communities.
About You

- Problem Solving: Deals with concepts and complexity comfortably; use analytical and conceptual skills to reason through problems; have creative ideas and project how these can link to innovations; translate creative ideas into workplace improvements.
- Stakeholder Management: Identifies issues in common for one or more stakeholders and uses to build mutually beneficial partnerships; Identifies and responds to stakeholder's underlying needs; Uses understanding of the stakeholder's organisational context to ensure outcomes are achieved; Finds innovative solutions to resolve stakeholder issues.
- Written and Verbal Communication: Prepares briefs, letters, emails and reports using clear, concise and grammatically correct language; ensures written communications contain necessary information to achieve their purpose; uses appropriate style and formats. Confidently conveys ideas and information in a clear and interesting way; clearly understands the target audience and the objectives of the communication; uses audience feedback to refine communication and ensure communications are understood; handles difficult and sensitive communications well.
