About the role
The Work Health & Safety Support Officer plays a key role in supporting a strong safety culture at Parliament of Victoria, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) legislation and best practices.
Reporting to the Manager, Work Health and Safety, this role is the perfect opportunity for someone with a desire to learn and get involved in health and safety management, assist the reduction of risk, and support operational health and safety activities. Using your strong interpersonal skills, you will collaborate with various employee groups to improve health and safety initiatives and promote safety standards, provide advice on ergonomics, and promoting a positive workplace safety culture.
