About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
An essential component of the Senior Secondary Pathways Reforms is the provision of work-based learning (WBL) opportunities for students who wish to pursue vocational options as part of their VCE. The WBL team sits within the School Industry Engagement Branch.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Senior Secondary Pathways Reform Division in the Department of Education.
The Work Based Learning Manager will lead a team of policy officers to develop and implement significant change across 2026 and 2027.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor's degree in a relevant area is desirable but not essential.
