About the Role
We're looking for someone to join our experienced and supportive Wills team. In this client-facing role, you'll prepare Wills, Powers of Attorney and Medical Treatment Decision Maker documents, support clients to make informed decisions, and help promote State Trustees as a trusted executor and estate planning service provider.
The role is primarily onsite based in Melbourne's South-Eastern Suburbs, however some travel to other areas of Victoria will also be required.
Duties
- Engage with clients before and after their appointments to improve appointment outcomes, client satisfaction and retention.
- Meet with clients to prepare their Wills and Powers of Attorney.
- Prepare documents that reflect client wishes and comply with legal requirements
- Identify and escalate matters for legal review when needed
- Educate clients on the benefits of nominating State Trustees as Trustee, Executor or Financial Attorney in documents
- Refer clients to other services when relevant
Skills & Experience
- Current Practicing Certificate or eligibility to obtain one immediately
- Experience preparing Wills and Powers of Attorney, including a sound understanding of the legal requirements for validity and efficacy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and a client-focused approach
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and working with client management systems
- A working knowledge of relevant estate planning legislation (eg Wills Act, Administration and Probate Act, Powers of Attorney Act etc)
- Experience driving commercial outcomes including appointment volumes, upselling and cross-selling of complimentary services
- Ability to hit the ground running and thrive in a fast paced, client facing environment
