About the role
The Wayfinding Strategy and Development Manager will lead the development of DTP’s wayfinding strategy across multiple transport programs and projects. Working within the Customer Communications branch, this role provides wayfinding strategy expertise across key initiatives, working with designers, projects and transport operators to create a seamless, accessible and customer-centred wayfinding experience across Victoria’s transport network.

Key selection criteria
To be successful in this role, you’ll demonstrate expertise in leading environmental, signage, wayfinding or user experience design projects, with a strong understanding of human-centred design and strategic planning. You bring the ability to craft compelling stories that communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively, influencing diverse audiences and senior stakeholders alike. Success in this role relies on vision, the drive to deliver a world-class, wayfinding experience that elevates how Victorians move through and experience their transport network.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll have demonstrated experience leading environmental or wayfinding design functions, or similar roles within large organisations. A strong understanding of human-centred design and design thinking methodologies is essential, along with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
