About the role
The role of the Ward Clerk is to be responsible for the delivery of consumer-focussed administrative support; ensuring equity of access throughout the resident’s journey in the facility and to assist the multidisciplinary team by providing efficient clerical support so as to achieve the desired outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide confidential clerical and reception services in line with organisational policies and procedures
Deliver professional, courteous and consumer-focused customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Maintain resident confidentiality and accurate documentation to meet legal and organisational standards
Coordinate clinical roster coverage, including arranging staff for planned and unplanned leave
Perform general administration duties including data entry, filing, mail processing and maintaining office supplies
Support effective communication within a multidisciplinary team while escalating and resolving administrative issues as required
What we’re looking for
Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, consumer-focused administrative environment
Proven administrative/clerical experience with strong organisational and record-keeping skills
High level computer literacy with the ability to learn specialised systems and programs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders
Flexibility to work rostered shifts and meet compliance requirements, including a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and no Aged Care banning order
