About the Business Unit:
Marngoneet Correctional Centre and Karreenga Annex is a medium security facility that houses a mix of sentenced and remand men and is located 6km north-west of Lara, 20km from the centre of Geelong and about 70km from Melbourne. The role of the facility is to contain men in custody safely, securely and humanely, focusing on the individual needs of the men with the aim of providing a successful transition back into the community or on their continued journey through the prison system. The facility has a strong focus on achieving positive outcomes and provides a range of engaged services. Our highly skilled workforce provides supervision and case management and are dedicated to enhancing opportunities to strengthen prisoner pathways.
About the Role:
The position of the Vocational Services Administration Officer is situated with the Vocational Services Team.
Some of your duties will include:
- Providing administration support and coordinate weekly prisoner employment CMRC's
- Providing strong customer service in responding to queries from internal and external working groups
- Providing support and development to the location Industry Officers in the use of Justice Education & Training System (JETS)
- Supporting the prisoner employment pathway process including resource allocation, communication, data entry and attendance tracking.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Demonstrated behaviours or achievements that reflect the One Justice values and behaviours of Serve the community, Work together, Act with integrity, Respect Other People and Make it Happen.
- Appropriate administrative experience in Vocational Services or Human Resource duties or related field, with the ability to organise and undertake clerical tasks.
- Appropriate administrative experience/knowledge of systems including PIMS, WIV, JETS, Nexus and Excel.
- Experience in operating computerised records systems.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Appropriate qualifications and/or experience in Vocational Services or similar areas is desirable
