About the Branch/Group
Balance Sheet Management
The Balance Sheet Management team manages the State’s cash and banking systems and funding requirements for the State and government businesses. It advises the Treasurer on borrowing and guarantee requests, administers relevant legislation, and supports Public Non-financial Corporations (PNFCs). The team also manages relationships with credit rating agencies, monitors key metrics, advises on implications for the State’s fiscal and debt management strategies, and supports the delivery of Affordable Housing Investment Partnerships (AHIP).
About the Role
The Treasury Analyst – Credit Risk supports the assessment of borrowing, loan and guarantee requests, financial arrangements and related credit matters across the State’s public sector entities.
The role contributes to financial analysis, credit reviews, policy administration and the preparation of advice to support sound Government lending and risk management decisions.
The position also supports the ongoing monitoring of credit exposures, including through analysis of financial performance, compliance with borrowing arrangements and emerging risks to the State’s financial interests.
