About the role
The Transport Planner supports the integration of land use and transport planning across metropolitan Melbourne. Working with government agencies, local councils and internal stakeholders, the role provides advice on development proposals, reviews planning changes and helps ensure future growth is supported by a connected, accessible and efficient transport network.
Lead stakeholder engagement across government, industry, councils and communities to support integrated transport and land use planning. Develop and represent the Department’s position on planning proposals, provide strategic advice and recommendations, influence planning outcomes, build partnerships, mentor team members, and independently manage projects supporting future transport network development.

· Communicates clearly and confidently, tailoring messages, reports and presentations to different audiences.
· Applies statutory, precinct or land use planning knowledge to support integrated transport and development outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience
· A tertiary qualification in a relevant or related discipline
