About the role
As the Transport Network Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in the design and operation of Victoria’s traffic signals and management systems, including SCATS (arterial roads) and STREAMS (motorways). This role ensures the safe and optimised performance of the road network in line with Departmental frameworks, Austroads Guidelines, and other compliance requirements.
Working closely with the Branch and wider Division, this role will continue to develop technical and professional skills to ensure Victoria’s traffic management systems are robust, sustainable, integrated, and future-ready. The role provides the opportunity to apply engineering expertise, problem-solving and digital literacy while contributing to projects that enhance community safety and transport outcomes.
Success in this position will rely on strong communication skills, the ability to influence and engage stakeholders, and a collaborative approach to supporting change and innovation.
