The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Transfers Coordinator to provide a critical role at Parole Central Unit, Parole and Court Practice.
About the Business Unit
Community Operations is responsible for the operation of Victoria's Community Correctional Services (CCS), with over 8000 people on community-based orders across more than 35 locations. It ensures people subject to CCS supervision are safely and securely managed and aims to rehabilitate individuals by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
Parole and Court Practice is responsible for providing central end-to-end oversight of the CCS service system and includes the Parole Central Unit, CCS Development Branch, Statewide Community Work and Partnerships team, System Integrity and Court Assessment and Prosecutions Services (CAPS) Central Unit. CCS review and investigation activities, monitoring and reporting and a suite of operational projects are also functions undertaken within Parole and Court Practice.
About the Role
The Transfers Coordinator manages the application process for individuals seeking to transfer into or from Victoria while subject to parole or a community based disposition. This involves liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders to gather information and preparing a comprehensive report with a recommendation around suitability.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Understanding of the statutory requirements regarding Parole Transfers.
Knowledge and/or experience relating to the corrections environment, particularly CCS (desirable).
