This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career and obtain experience working as a Transcription Officer in the Legal Business Operations Division of the Victoria Police's Legal Services. Victoria Police's Legal Services provides legal services and advice to support policing, courts, and the Victorian community. Legal Services is led by an Executive Director (who is also the organisation's General Counsel) and employs over 800 staff spread across four divisions – the Office of the Executive Director; the Specialist Legal and Litigation Division; the Courts & Prosecution Services Division; and the Legal Business Operations Division.
The Transcription Service is located within the Legal Practice Management and Services Group. The Unit is currently expanding and recruiting multiple roles to support Victoria Police. The role(s) will report directly to the Unit Manager responsible for the Transcription Service. The primary role of the Transcription Officer will be to provide accurate and written text documents for various types of audio and video recordings. The role is also expected to provide administrative and business support services, and undertake additional duties as reasonably requested.
