About the role
The Regional Permits Officer assesses and processes Memorandums of Authorisation (MOAs) for temporary traffic management, ensuring applications meet legislation, policies, standards and service timeframes. The role considers planned events and disruptions, including their individual and cumulative impacts on the transport network.
The role provides traffic and transport management advice, recommends actions to minimise disruption, responds to enquiries and supports traffic management outcomes for projects and worksites. It builds strong stakeholder relationships, using sound judgement, negotiation and influence to achieve safe, practical outcomes while maintaining the safe and efficient operation of the road network.
