Trade Officer, Clients and Industry Coordination

The Role
The Trade Officer, Clients and Industry Coordination supports the delivery of the Government's trade-related programs, contributing to initiatives that help Victorian businesses access global markets. This role is ideal for a highly organised and customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage competing priorities and tight timeframes.
You will work collaboratively across teams and with key stakeholders to support international trade projects, providing coordination across procurement, contract management, reporting and logistics. Your strong communication skills and proactive, can-do attitude will enable you to effectively engage stakeholders, support program delivery and contribute to a wide range of activities across the division.
Main Accountabilities
• Assess client needs and deliver services in complex situations to support trade programs
• Identify and implement improvements to procedures within the work area
• Draft communication materials and provide advice to stakeholders on key issues
• Support delivery of projects of defined scope, including coordination and reporting
• Undertake data analysis and contribute to research and studies within the team
The Team
The position of Trade Officer, Clients and Industry Coordination forms a part of the Trade Team within the Industry, Trade and Investment Group.
The Industry, Trade and Investment Group works with businesses locally and globally to grow jobs, drive innovation and enhance Victoria's international competitiveness.
The Trade Team supports Victorian businesses to access global markets through trade strategy, policy, market insights and targeted trade initiatives, including inbound and outbound missions and engagement through the Victorian Government's international network.
About You
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships, respond to client needs and manage competing priorities
• Sound data literacy and analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data and support decision-making
• Proven ability to coordinate and deliver projects, working collaboratively with others to achieve outcomes
