SC1 Demonstrated capacity to undertake and document routine support tasks across a range of functions in information and communication technologies (ICT) within school environment.
SC2 Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively with a range of personnel including the provision of appropriate advice to the school principal and administration team, together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills when relating to students, colleagues, and members of the broader community.

The successful applicant will play an instrumental role in the development and implementation of contemporary school processes to support the learning and wellbeing of all students across the school. As a foundation education support staff member, you will contribute to the collaborative planning, implementation and evaluation of school processes and contribute to the school culture as a results-oriented collaborative professional learning community.
Foundation education support staff will work collaboratively with colleagues and leadership to improve students educational outcomes and to ensure that the school remains on a path of continuous improvement through the application of evidence based research.
The information technology technician will be flexible, competent, and approachable to all members of the school community. It is expected that they will provide a high level of customer service to the student body, staff and visitors to the school and be competent in the provision of up to date and relevant information.
It is important the information technology technician operates in a consistent, professional, courteous, efficient manner at all times.

Barwon Valley is a Special Developmental School situated in Belmont for students from Foundation to Year 12. It is a purpose built facility which provides a friendly, stimulating, caring and secure environment for students with moderate to profound disabilities. We implement School Wide Positive Behaviour Support to promote positive behaviour, using our school values of TEAMWORK, RESPECT, FUN, DIGNITY and SUPPORT. Our vision is to provide maximum opportunities for all students to access and be involved in a comprehensive education based on the Victorian Curriculum. Teaching programs support students to reach their maximum potential in both school and community settings. Our educational environment is comprised of Junior and Senior Learning Communities. Internal and external work experience programs are provided for students across the Senior Learning Community and strong links with local agencies and businesses support us with this program. An excellent staff/student ratio ensures that class groups have approximately 9 students. Students are actively involved in setting their learning goals in consultation with parents and other relevant personnel.
