Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role
The Technical Writer is responsible for transforming complex technical and operational information into user-focused documentation that supports safe and effective workflows.
Beyond day-to-day responsibilities, the role will also support surge and major incident response by contributing to Incident Management Teams and providing operational support when required.
Day to day responsibilities include:
• Translate intricate technical data into clear, accessible documentation that supports daily operations and aligns with TZV policies.
• Ensure all materials meet governance, accuracy, and accessibility requirements to remain consistent and audit ready.
• Use feedback and gap analysis to refine documentation, improving knowledge transfer and overall content quality.
• Participate in workshops and meetings to gather business requirements and co-design effective operational doctrine.
• Keep management informed of project status, potential risks, and any blockers affecting the delivery of technical documentation.
About You
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/qualifications/experience:
• Demonstrated experience writing or editing technical documents.
• Demonstrated ability to follow templates and style guides.
• Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to adapt style to suit the audience.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage a high volume of competing demands and priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to work within organisational policy guidelines.
