About the group
Investment and Technology group leads and manages the investment lifecycle; drives commercial advice & negotiations to facilitate reform; and enables core delivery through Finance, Procurement & Enterprise Technology.
Enterprise Technology is a division of the Investment and Technology division which defines investment strategy and deliver commercial and information technology services to drive high performance and improved outcomes within the department.
The Service Operations branch in Enterprise Technology focuses on delivering IT services that unite people, processes and systems to form an integrated, high performing and efficient Department of Transport. The team thrives on working collaboratively with its stakeholders to achieve exceptional results for the department.
About the role
The Technical Services Manager, Collaboration will be responsible for managing and supporting technology components of Collaboration platforms of the department. This will involve managing and optimizing departments Microsoft 365 and other collaboration platforms. You will also ensure that the proposed and existing M365 and other collaboration products and Services are aligned with company objectives and meet business outcomes in a timely manner. You will also be responsible to identify and resolve issues related to platform to minimize service interruption.
We are seeking an accomplished professional with strong skills in critical thinking, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement to lead release, deployment, capacity, and software configuration activities within the Cloud Platform team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate resilience, customer focus, and a collaborative approach to deliver efficient, innovative, and high-quality outcomes across technical and business environments

Position accountabilities
• Demonstrate specialist technical knowledge and experience in an enterprise environment in configuring, documenting, implementing, administering and supporting M 365 and other collaboration platforms.
• Demonstrated experience applying quality procedures, while interpreting and reviewing the development of guidelines, standards and work instructions.
• Manage the collaboration team.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of environments.
• Monitor and optimize resources for performance and cost efficiency.
• Work with project teams to support design and deployment of solutions.
• Serve as a technical advisor for clients, providing guidance on best practices and strategic direction.
• Collaborate with other team members, including solution architects, developers, and project managers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.
• Work with Vendors as needed.
Qualifications and experience
– Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent (mandatory)
– Experience in one or more of the Strategic Platforms (mandatory)
– M365 expertise and management (mandatory)
– ITIL (desired)
