The Technical Lead, Solution Innovation and Design will lead ideation, drive innovation and the adoption of emerging technologies, promote Agile product development methodology, and coordinate the delivery of technical work for a range of mobile and web based software systems, including critical emergency management systems that are used across Victoria, supporting forest management and incident management teams, front line firefighters and volunteers to keep the community safe.
This is a role within Data Analytics and Information Systems, a multi-disciplinary team that is responsible for the development, maintenance and provision of information systems and associated services that meet the requirements of the Bushfire and Forest Services Group and partner agencies.
This role works closely with software engineers to deliver mobile applications across iOS and Android Platforms, works closely with users and stakeholders to understand business needs and opportunities for IT solutions and coordinates the delivery of technology solutions.
Our ideal candidate will have a background in leading the delivery of web and/or mobile phone applications, ideally in emergency management context and it would be advantageous if you have practical experience in front line emergency management.

This is a fixed term position available until 31 January 2027. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
