The Patient & Client Management System (P&CMS) Applications Technical Integration Support Specialist provides second-level support for a range of mission critical applications and integration technologies used throughout the Victorian public health sector. As part of the technical integration support team, you will help to support and maintain the technical components of these applications, including back-end databases. These applications are used by hospitals and community health services to effectively maintain patient and client information. The team provides 7x24 hour support coverage, so participation in some after-hours work and participation on an on-call roster is required.

About you:
The Department of Health is seeking a skilled and motivated PCMS Applications Technical Integration Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to supporting the integration and operation of Patient Care Management System (PCMS) applications across the department.
As a key contributor, you will be responsible for planning and organising the delivery of technical support services, setting clear objectives and tracking progress effectively. Your ability to identify and resolve integration challenges, while managing competing priorities and maintaining a clear focus on outcomes, will be essential.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, gathering and analysing relevant information, engaging stakeholders, and developing practical solutions. You'll be expected to assess the effectiveness of implemented strategies and adjust actions as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
This position requires a systems thinker—someone who can recognise patterns and trends within complex environments and understands how various internal and external factors interconnect. You'll use this insight to help optimise integration processes and support broader departmental goals.
Strong self-management is also crucial. You will seek feedback, reflect on your impact, and adap t your behaviour to work more effectively with others. Emotional intelligence and the ability to stay composed under pressure will support your success in this role.
