About the Role
The Technical Data Lead, Regulatory Insights and Systems role will drive the implementation of the Regulatory Systems Data Insights function. Responsible for leading the data transformation team within CAV and implementing the CAV Data Strategy, the role oversees the unlocking of actionable intelligence from consumer data to inform regulatory priorities, evaluate intervention activities, and support and drive CAV strategies.
Reporting to the Manager, Regulatory Information & Insights, the Technical Data Lead, Regulatory Insights and Systems role will develop and sustain strong collaborative relationships across CAV, DGS and other stakeholders to drive data policy and transform data systems and processes. The role will oversee the development of high‑quality insights, dashboards, and research outputs that inform policy development, regulatory strategy, compliance intelligence, operational improvement, and public reporting.
The Technical Data Lead will work with CAV’s regulatory stakeholders to lead the development of the enterprise data capability uplift by implementing best‑practice analytics, reproducibility, and innovative data approaches to enhance the department’s regulatory intelligence and strategic insight capabilities.
