THE ROLE
We are seeking a Team Manager to join our After Hours program on an ongoing, full time rostered basis, based in Wangaratta and make a real difference in the lives of children, young people and families.
As part of the After-Hours team you will work to a structured rostered model and provide response and emergency outreach visits as required to all child protection matters that are received outside core business hours; at night, on weekends and on public holidays and will be entitled to applicable penalty rates and allowances.
In this role you will join a passionate team that shares your commitment to keeping children safe and families connected. You will be responsible for effective service delivery which will involve managing a small team of Child Protection Practitioners, allocation of cases, resource and budget management. You will have the formal delegation to endorse and review case plans to bring about the changes necessary to ensure the safety, stability and development of children and young people and to promote the achievement of case plan objectives within specified timeframes. The position will work collaboratively with the Senior Child Protection Practitioners to help strengthen case practice and to support the development of practitioners to ensure effective service delivery.
Essential to your success will be a recognised Social Work or Welfare related qualification/ or equivalent coupled with relevant experience as well as a strong sense of social justice and an understanding that families are complex, with their own unique histories.
