The Team Leader role offers an outstanding career opportunity for a professional who is passionate about using their expertise and leadership to support VIT in its regulation of Victorian teachers. With expert knowledge on leading a team in a high-volume registration / license / membership processing environment, with strong written and verbal communication skills, the role will ensure VIT is able to undertake high quality and efficient application assessments.

About the role
The purpose of the role is to manage teacher registration (and related) enquiries and application assessments, according to legislative and policy requirements, in an effective and timely manner.
The incumbent will do this by assessing complex applications for teacher registration (and related applications); handling complex telephone enquiries from teachers, principals, employers and other stakeholders; providing quality assurance checks on work; and developing and implementing improvements to process delivery.

About you
As an experienced team leader, you will have experience in creating and maintaining an inspiring team environment. You will have experience in processing applications in a high-volume environment, and ideally a passion for child safety and experience working within the education sector.
You will have strong leadership skills combined with a highly organised approach and a proven track record in leading a team in a fast paced and demanding environment. In addition to this, as the successful candidate, you will have:
