The Heritage Services branch
Heritage Services provides business and operational support underpinning the work of FPSR. Key responsibilities include administering the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006, which includes protecting and managing Aboriginal cultural heritage, maintaining a register of Aboriginal places and objects, working collaboratively with Registered Aboriginal Parties, and fulfilling the Secretary’s role in administering Cultural Heritage Permits and Cultural Heritage Management Plans.
About the Role
As the Team Leader, Operations - Enforcement and Compliance, you will support the Statewide Enforcement and Compliance Manager in providing strong leadership, advice and coordination in all areas relating to compliance and enforcement of the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 (the Act). You will manage and supervise a team of enforcement and compliance inspectors and investigators and contribute to the training of Authorised Officers and Aboriginal Heritage Officers. You will contribute to the development and implementation of related policies and procedures as well as building partnerships with Registered Aboriginal Parties and other key stakeholders.
