About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
Freedom of Information is located within the Integrity, Assurance and Executive Services Division. The division provides expert advice and support to the department through a range of portfolio, advisory and assurance services.
The division also provides support to the department's executives and ministers and the Office of the Secretary and manages all Cabinet and Parliament processes. In addition, it undertakes a range of time limited projects to support the efficient operation of the department.

The Team Leader, Freedom of Information, is responsible for leading a small team who receive, manage, and assess freedom of information requests under the Victorian Freedom of Information Act 1982.
The Team Leader is an authorised decision maker and manages sensitive and complex requests in accordance with the Act. The requests within this team are non-topical, most commonly seeking access to personal information.
This position provides leadership within the team and everyone in the team is expected to live our values, contribute to continuous improvement, share knowledge, and maintain accurate records of their work in line with departmental policy.
