About this opportunity
The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) is seeking to fill multiple roles to support the delivery of the 2026 Victorian State Election, to be held on 28 November 2026.
As a Field Compliance Team Leader, you will work in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment, supporting the integrity and transparency of election outcomes. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to one of Victoria's most significant civic events.
In this role, you may be required to temporarily work from other metropolitan locations. On occasion, travel to regional Victoria could also be required, and this may involve overnight stays.
Please note, this is not a VPS position. Successful applicants will be appointed under the Electoral Act 2002, with terms and conditions set by the VEC's Election Staff Remuneration and Allowance Framework.

A day as a Field Compliance Team Leader
As a leader in our Field Compliance team, you will support Field Compliance Officers to undertake compliance activities across voting centres and count locations throughout Victoria. From coordinating daily operations and responding to emerging risks, to providing expert advice on complex electoral matters, you will play a key role in safeguarding the integrity of Victoria's elections. You will oversee decision making about compliance outcomes, identify emerging trends and issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure elections are fair, transparent, and delivered in line with legislative requirements.
