Social Services Regulator
The Social Services Regulator (SSR) is an independent statutory authority that exists to safeguard the rights of children and young people as well as people who use social services in Victoria.
The SSR regulates the Social Services Standards, the Child Safe Standards (for organisations without a sector specific co-regulator as well as the social services sector), and also administers the Worker and Carer Exclusion Scheme (WCES), Reportable Conduct Scheme (RCS) and Working with Children Check (WWCC) scheme and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
The Social Services Regulator takes an integrated and intelligence driven approach to identifying, preventing and excluding unsafe people from working with children and young people, as well as ensuring organisations that work with children and young people keep children safe from abuse and harm by meeting the Child Safe Standards.
As a co-regulator of the Child Safe Standards, the Social Services Regulator works with other co-regulators of the Child Safe Standards including the Department of Health, Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA), Victorian Early Childhood Regulation Authority (VECRA), and Workforce Inspectorate Victoria to keep children safe from harm and abuse.
THE ROLE
The Team Leader, Business Systems Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Social Services Regulator (SSR) to develop and maintain the systems required to enable data driven regulatory decision making.
The SSR uses a risk-based intelligence led approach to protect the safety and rights of children, young people and adults experiencing vulnerability. The Team Leader, Business Systems Analyst is responsible for leading a team of staff in the development and operational management of current and new software and systems required to support the regulatory functions of the Social Services Regulator.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
Day-to-day your responsibilities will include:
- Design, enhance, simplify and document business processes and requirements, core business systems, processes and interaction points to provide an exceptional user and customer experience that achieves the business outcomes and delivers benefits across a new regulator and its associated registration and accreditation platform.
- Coordinate, lead and facilitate workshops to identify and document business requirements, undertake human centred design approaches to identify solutions that address business requirements in a usable manner, develop customer journey maps and user stories related to system requirements and user test scenarios that support the overall user experience when implementing a registration and accreditation platform.
- Identify data flows, integration points, validation, security considerations and data management implications for key projects and information services plans and develop strategic responses and guidance.
- Lead and support a team of staff in the development of advice and input related to systems issues relevant to the establishment and operation of the Social Services Regulator.
