THE ROLE
The Information Sharing Team (IST) is responsible for a number of information sharing functions including assessing and responding to requests for Child Protection information made under the Child Information Sharing Scheme (CISS) and Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS). The team provides specialist operational advice on relevant policy, practice, and agreements in relation to information sharing across the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (the department) and with external stakeholders.
Reporting to the Manager IST, the Team Leader works within a skilled team to support the appropriate exchange of sensitive information in a systematised and consistent manner. The team leader will be responsible for providing leadership and management of the day-to-day operations of a team to support the application of legislative requirements in the development of responses, provide advice on matters concerning the FVISS and CISS schemes and the department's broader information sharing responsibilities. The role requires excellent analytical, writing and reporting skills, stakeholder management, leadership, project management abilities, and the ability to work flexibility and as a team.
