The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Team Leader to provide a critical role within Electronic Monitoring Services.
About the Business Unit
Corrections Victoria is responsible for the direction, management and operation of Victoria's corrections system, which incorporates prisons and Community Correctional Services (CCS). Corrections Victoria manages approximately 40 CCS locations across the state and is responsible for managing Victoria's eleven public prisons and overseeing the contracts relating to the management of three privately operated prisons. Corrections Victoria delivers a safe and secure corrections system that actively engages wearers and the community to promote positive behaviour change.
Electronic Monitoring Services (EMS) is a business unit within the Security and Intelligence Division. EMS maintains oversight of the state-wide program and management of the Electronic Monitoring Centre, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
About the Role
The Team Leader, Electronic Monitoring will manage the Electronic Monitoring Compliance Officers working in the Electronic Monitoring Centre and provide on shift support to the EMS management team. The Team Leader will also be responsible for developing and delivering electronic monitoring training, overseeing, and contributing to high level and sensitive reports completed by EMS, supporting projects undertaken by EMS and ensuring operations of the centre are executed according to established procedures. The Team Leader role includes servicing the metropolitan based trial of the Youth Justice Enhanced Bail Supervision and Support program.
This role will be required to work rostered shift work in the Electronic Monitoring Centre. On call and standby duties may be required as part of this role. The primary work location is the Statewide Services Building, 99 Riding Boundary Road Ravenhall VIC 3023. However, this role may be required to work in the Melbourne CBD and regional locations. This role may also require occasional state-wide travel and overnight stays.
