About the Role
The Systems Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure is a key and active participant of the Emergency Communication Information Services (ECIS) team and is a key subject matter expert in designing, deploying, managing, and supporting scalable Cloud infrastructure and solutions. This role works closely with architecture, operations, and security teams to ensure the reliability, performance, availability and security of cloud-based infrastructure, services and platforms. The role requires a deep technical subject matter expertise and knowledge of Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), automation.
This role will work as a hands-on engineer as part of a team and with deep technical expertise in Cloud and on-premise Data Centre infrastructure environments to build, maintain and support scalable infrastructure and platforms across a hybrid-cloud architecture and Cloud environment in Microsoft Azure. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate high technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.
This role requires an experienced Cloud Engineer with an innovative mindset, as well as a keen eye for detail and quality in the resiliency, performance, availability and security of Cloud and on-premise, systems engineering and delivery practices. This role offers an excellent career opportunity for individuals with a background in Microsoft system-focused engineering and experience in delivering collaborative solutions supporting a mission critical 24/7 emergency services environment.
As part of TZV’s ECIS team you may be required to travel or transfer between your primary work location and other TZV sites to effectively carry out your duties. Normal working hours are 38 hours per week between 7 am and 7 pm, Monday to Friday with a minimum 3 days on site requirement. You will be required to participate in an on-call roster and may be required to work reasonable overtime.
