About the Opportunity
The Systems Administrator at State Library Victoria is responsible for the management and continuous improvement of the organisation's core technology infrastructure, including server, cloud, storage, identity, and end-user computing environments. The role contributes to a cross-functional engineering team whose objective is to modernise and secure infrastructure platforms, while supporting a digital-first posture.
The Systems Administrator implements, secures and maintains infrastructure platforms that meet business and user requirements, ensuring high operational availability. The position is proactive but also responds to major incidents in addition to providing Tier 2/3 support as needed.
About You
We value your strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure and operational resilience. Your technical skillset is underpinned by your experience in system backup, recovery and security as well as maintaining system availability. While you collaborate with your colleagues through to solution, you are capable of doing a deep dive and analysing issues on your own when needed. Importantly, you will be adept with enterprise monitoring systems (e.g. Zabbix), and reviewing how systems are running to avoid outages.
