Undertaking targeted surveillance activities in respect of the construction works relating to the project including: Maintaining high quality records of daily site activities – attendance, plant operations, traffic management, pre-starts etc; Monitoring status against program; Maintaining and implementing project risk register and keeping associated records; and coordinate stakeholder surveillance requirements – including identifying requirements, providing invite/notifications, recording attendance etc.
Maintaining familiarisation with design, specification and contract documentation, including variations and in respect to safety, traffic, land planning and environment and communications as well as relevant standards and specifications.
Sustaining positive relationship with Technical, Engineering, Planning and Engagement Advisors and contractor’s construction teams, proactively resolving issues as they arise in a collaborative manner, including attendance and providing input into coordination meetings.
Assisting the delivery team to monitor quality, review and implement procedures, including non-conformances, as built preparation, compliance certificates and testing.
Reviewing, understanding and complying with all safety, traffic, environmental and communication plans/protocols.
Ensuring the highest ethical standard in the delivery of NELP’s objectives, with strong commitment to the management of safety across the specified delivery package, attending safety in design meetings, site safety walks and general inspections as required.
The Surveillance Manager is responsible for the ongoing surveillance and auditing of all site investigations and infrastructure construction and maintenance works. The Surveillance Manager conducts risk-based site surveillance of assigned works under quality assured contracts, managing resolution of issues on site with contractor/s, continuously building and maintaining relationships and liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
This position will be vital to ensuring that compliance outcomes are met on site from a safety, program and contractor management perspective. This position provides the successful incumbent with the opportunity to contribute to Victoria’s largest road transport project to date.
About You
Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction or similar discipline is highly regarded.
As there will be provision of surveillance vehicles to carry out duties, possession of a valid Victorian Drivers’ licence is mandatory.
This position is 3 year fixed-term.
It will be a requirement to travel and spend time at one or all our site offices
