Regional Capital Delivery leads the delivery of capital projects across the Victorian regional road network.
About the role
This role is Fixed term until 31 May 2027
This role plays an important part in ensuring construction and planning activities across metropolitan Melbourne are delivered safely, compliantly and to a high standard. You will exercise professional judgement to oversee works relating to pavements, drainage and road furniture, ensuring alignment with DTP policies, guidelines, standards and legislative requirements. The position involves applying technical expertise to plan and monitor risk-based external works, identify compliance issues and support quality project outcomes. Working across a variety of construction sites, you will contribute to the delivery of infrastructure that supports safe, reliable and well-maintained transport networks for the community.
What we’re looking for (Selection Criteria)
This role requires strong project delivery capability, including the ability to interpret complex construction drawings, understand construction standards and manage competing priorities across multiple projects. You apply critical thinking and sound judgement to resolve issues and deliver practical outcomes. Strong stakeholder and communication skills are essential, with the ability to negotiate effectively and maintain positive relationships with external parties. You maintain accurate records and provide guidance that supports team capability and continuous improvement. The role also requires knowledge of OH&S, environmental and traffic management requirements to ensure compliance across external works. You demonstrate resilience, adaptability and a strong focus on delivering outcomes that support the community and organisational objectives.
