The Wellbeing Officer supports student engagement, wellbeing and participation in learning. Working under direction, the role contributes to the delivery of educational and wellbeing support programs for students experiencing social, emotional and behavioural challenges.
The position works collaboratively with the Team Around the Learner (TAL), the Student Wellbeing Team and school leadership to provide consistent, student-centred support that enables young people to access learning, build resilience and achieve positive outcomes.
The Wellbeing Officer also provides individual wellbeing support, mentoring and supportive counselling conversations appropriate to the role to assist students to support positive mental health, emotional regulation, resilience, social connection and engagement in school.
