KSC1 Demonstrated high level knowledge of relevant policy context, evidence based approaches, programs and research relating to child and adolescent health and development.

KSC5 Demonstrated sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and the ability to work collaboratively with internal school teams, school leadership and external agencies to safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people.
Student Wellbeing Leaders work in schools to support young people to achieve academic success, psychological health, and social and emotional wellbeing.
The Student Wellbeing Leader will provide high quality advice and support to students and staff. They will support and comply with Department of Education and Surf Coast Secondary College procedures and policies in order to best support the wellbeing of students and to build the capacity of staff. They will provide individualised support to students to foster resilience, improve attendance and respond to identified social, emotional and educational needs.
The Student Wellbeing Leader will be a member of the Student Wellbeing Team at Surf Coast Secondary College, supporting student wellbeing and engagement across the college. This position includes leadership responsibilities in support of other wellbeing team members and under the guidance of the Assistant Principal (Wellbeing & Engagement). This position answers directly to the Assistant Principal (Wellbeing and Engagement) and the Principal.
