This is a AH3, 0.4 FTE, ongoing position in Hume Merri-bek with immediate start. This position is currently based with the Hume North team.
About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and self-motivated clinician from one of the following allied health disciplines: Psychology, Speech Pathology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy to contribute to the important work of our Department Student Support Services workforce.
Student Support Services help children and young people overcome learning barriers and reach their full potential. Staff collaborate with schools, students and families to improve learning, engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion through targeted strategies and specialised support. They build teacher capability, guide principals on wellbeing and learning approaches, and manage assessments and interventions for complex cases. Working in multidisciplinary Area-based teams — including psychologists, speech pathologists, social workers and/or occupational therapists — they support individuals, groups and school communities.

Job Location: This position is based in the Hume Merri-bek Area. There is a requirement to travel and undertake work in schools as part of service delivery. SSS staff have access to departmental fleet vehicles.
