About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Team Leader to join Victoria Police's Our People Command, overseeing the Student Services Unit, as part of the Business Services Division (BSD). The Command plays a vital role in building the skills, capabilities, and confidence of Victoria Police employees to lead and positively influence the community. Through the delivery of comprehensive training and ongoing development programs, Our People support Police Officers, Protective Services Officers (PSOs), and Police Custody Officers (PCOs) from their initial induction through every stage of their career.
Student Services is the primary point of contact for the onboarding, maintenance of records and ceremonial events for recruits during their time at the Academy, playing a vital role in supporting their training journey. The team manages student records, attends to staff and student enquiries, and coordinates key Academy events including Induction, Family Night, Swearing In, and Graduation.
The Student Services Team Leader will oversee the unit's practices and processes to ensure optimal service delivery while maintaining high standards of customer service. This role is critical in balancing day-to-day operational requirements with the strategic objectives of the Command. The Team Leader will also be responsible for providing timely data and reporting on governance matters to support informed decision-making. Reporting directly to the Academic Timetabling Manager, this position plays a key role in supporting the Command in all aspects of recruits' training at the Victoria Police Academy.
