The House Support Worker (Range 2) plays a vital role in supporting the wellbeing, engagement, and administrative functions of the House Teams.
This position requires initiative, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.
Year 7 Student Management Office Support (Days/Times TBA)
Respond to low-level student inquiries including uniform passes, locker issues, and general support.
Provide a welcoming and supportive presence for Year 7 students during morning arrival.
Year 7 Family Outreach and Engagement:
Conduct structured outreach phone calls to all Year 7 families by the end of Term 1.
Gather feedback on student transition experiences and offer relevant support and information.
Maintain records of family contact and follow-up actions.
Support House Teams and the Head of House overseeing 6-7 transition, by liaising with Primary Schools to collect student data.
Year 7 Email and Communication Management:
Monitor the Year 7 email inbox daily.
Provide initial response via email or phone call. Triage and forward inquiries to appropriate staff (e.g., Student Managers, Wellbeing, Inclusion, Heads of House, Pathways, Principal Class).
Ensure timely and appropriate responses to family and student queries.
Equity Funded Student Attendance Monitoring:
Track attendance of students supported by equity funding.
Notify Student Managers of concerns and ensure follow-up occurs.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to data-informed decision-making.
Student Attendance Monitoring:
Track attendance of students identified as a priority.
Notify Student Managers of concerns and ensure follow-up occurs.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to data-informed decision-making.
Senior Office Support:
Monitor student attendance at accountability sessions.
Follow up with students who miss sessions and liaise with relevant staff.
Assist with administrative tasks related to SAC reschedules and accountabilities.
Compass Monitoring and Data Collection:
Monitor Compass posts for relevant student data and trends.
Assist in compiling reports or summaries for leadership and wellbeing teams.
General Duties:
Support Student Managers and Heads of House as required.
Collaborate with teaching and support staff to ensure smooth operation of student support systems.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Undertake other duties as directed by the Principal Class.
