Education support class positions are diverse and cover the delivery of support services that include school administration and operations (e.g. human resources, finance, facilities,), school support services (e.g. library, laboratory, information technology), direct student and teaching support (e.g. classroom assistance to teachers, careers counselling, student health and wellbeing).
Duties:
Student Administration: Enrolments & Records
Manage student enrolments, transfers, and exits, ensuring smooth communication with the Timetabler, Bursar, and Year Level Leaders.
Record and track enrolment enquiries and assist the Enrolments Panel and Year Level Leaders.
Enter and update student data in CASES21, including enrolments, transfers, and changes to student information.
Coordinate Year 6 to Year 7 transition, liaising with feeder schools and communicating with future Year 7 families.
Process student exits and support the Careers Coordinator with exit interviews and exemptions for students under 17.
Prepare and submit the annual February and August census in line with DET guidelines.
Complete End of Year and Start of Year CASES21 administrative processes.
Administration: School Council
Schedule and organise School Council meetings in accordance with the College¿s Key Dates.
Prepare documentation and provide administrative support for all School Council meetings.
Assist the College Principal with the annual School Council Elections.
Maintain a register of College Policies for endorsement by School Council, ensuring policies are reviewed and up to date.
Additional Administrative Support:
Provide administrative support for Year 7 Transition activities, including liaising with primary schools, arranging transport, and coordinating catering.
Support College events such as Open Day/Night, College Production, Awards Evening, and Arts Alive.
Provide customer service via telephone and at the counter when required.
Provide first aid to students and staff in the absence of the College Nurse.
Assist with production of the annual College magazine, Montage.
Support the Business Manager with ad hoc administrative tasks.

Montmorency Secondary is a large, co-educational Year 7 to 12 College situated approximately 20 kilometres north-east of the Melbourne CBD. Our current enrolment of more than 1000 students is accommodated in a single campus bordered by park reserves and the Plenty River.
The College is set in an attractive park-like environment. Our amenities include 400-seat auditorium, a significant new basketball stadium complex, which incorporates three Olympic-standard basketball courts and two standard basketball courts, two high-quality kitchens for Food Studies, a tailor-made Materials Technology Centre (for Wood and Metal Classes), and fully networked ICT facilities throughout.
