About the role
The Strategy and Partnerships Officer is a dynamic role supporting the delivery of spatial planning programs and initiatives by assisting with stakeholder engagement across industry and government, governance processes, growth narrative development, and policy input. The role provides coordination, research, secretariat and administrative support to ensure programs are delivered effectively, stakeholders are engaged, and senior team member and decision makers are supported with timely, effective and accurate information.

Position accountabilities
DTP is seeking a motivated professional to support the delivery of spatial planning programs across Victoria. In this role, you will assist with coordinating stakeholder engagement activities across industry, Registered Aboriginal Parties, local government, and State Government agencies, contributing to effective collaboration and planning outcomes. You will support the preparation and maintenance of spatial planning growth narratives and assist in developing narrative products that communicate planning objectives clearly.
You will contribute to reporting and governance processes, providing analysis, advice, and briefing material to support internal committees, senior staff, and Ministerial Office agendas. This includes preparing high-quality reports, presentations, and documentation that underpin decision-making and the delivery of spatial planning initiatives. You will also assist in supporting policy development across government in collaboration with senior staff and program leads. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong coordination, communication, and analytical skills, with experience supporting governance processes and stakeholder engagement. Attention to detail, the ability to work collaboratively across teams, and a commitment to delivering high-quality planning advice and outputs are essential.
