The Strategic Program Officer is a key position in the Major Capital Works and Roading unit. This role supports the Department in acquitting its statutory obligations as a road manager by contributing to road management planning, compliance and coordination activities.
This role applies sound knowledge of road management frameworks and processes to support compliance, risk management and safe utilisation of roads. Working collaboratively with internal teams, delivery partners and external stakeholders, the Strategic Program Officer assists in ensuring road management requirements are clearly understood, consistently applied and appropriately considered throughout planning, delivery and maintenance activities.
The role will support the team with analysis, documentation and stakeholder liaison to support the effective implementation of road management legislation, policies and standards across capital projects and operational activities.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
