Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

About the role
Our people partnering team work closely with our executive teams across the Courts Group to deliver people strategies and solutions that enable a high performing workforce. We are currently looking for a proactive and dynamic Strategic People Partner to lead our people partnering team within the Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV). This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR generalist looking to drive strategic HR initiatives, build leadership capability, and foster an inclusive, high-performing workplace. You will be joining a supportive and inclusive People Partnering team of high calibre HR professionals that value innovation and work collaboratively to share ideas and resources.
As the Strategic People Partner, you will deliver business-driven solutions across the entire employee lifecycle, providing expert advice to executives and managers in relation to workforce planning, change management, leadership and organisational development, and employee engagement. As the HR lead within MCV, you will be the strategic HR advisor to the CEO and a trusted partner and advisor to the executive team. You will enjoy building relationships with a client group that actively seeks your advice and welcomes your guidance in setting the strategic people agenda. You will be supported by subject matter experts across the People Services function who will work with you to align people programs and initiatives with organisational priorities.
This role also oversees operational HR matters within MCV. You will coach and mentor a team of people partners who manage employee relations matters, performance management processes, and workforce planning. You will oversee their work and provide day to day coaching and development to support their growth.

About you
This role will suit an experienced senior people partner with expertise across multiple areas of the employee lifecycle. You will bring knowledge and expertise across one or more specialist areas of HR and an aptitude for aligning people solutions with the strategic direction of the organisation. We are seeking candidates with a passion for good customer service and a high degree of emotional intelligence. Tertiary qualifications in human resources, psychology, business, or related fields (or working towards) is desirable.
